Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Environmental Chemist to support federal remediation programs with a focus on data validation, QA/QC, and environmental data management, including PFAS and other contaminants. The role is remote/office-based within the US and involves overseeing junior chemists.

You will manage data lifecycles from sampling through final reporting, review lab deliverables, and ensure compliance with EPA SW-846 and CLP requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and 10+ years in environmental chemistry.
• Experience validating analytical data for environmental programs.
• Experience with PFAS data and emerging contaminants.
• Experience overseeing junior chemists in data validation.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical data validation and independent technical reviews of inorganic and organic data packages.
• Evaluate laboratory deliverables for completeness and compliance and assign data qualifiers.
• Oversee and review Stage 2 data validation by junior chemists.
• Prepare QA/QC reports and data usability assessments.
• Coordinate with project managers and laboratories to meet schedules.
