Job summary

North Wind Site Services is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Chemical Data Validator I to review subcontract laboratory data and ensure compliance with EPA, DOE, and DOD guidelines. The role emphasizes data quality, QA/QC, and clear written reporting.

The position requires a BS in environmental science or chemistry, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team, with potential for remote work and standard office duties. Travel is not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of science in environmental, chemistry or similar; or equivalent experience in analytical laboratories.
• Familiarity with EPA, DOE and DOD guidelines and data quality objectives.

Responsibilities

• Validate analytical chemistry data following national standards and company procedures.
• Prepare comprehensive written data validation reports and checklists with findings.
• Monitor workloads and manage backlog to meet due dates.
• Communicate with peers and supervisors in a timely and effective manner.
• May assist project teams to select analytical methods and coordinate laboratories.
