Job summary

ECS Midwest, LLC is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to lead environmental consulting projects of low to moderate complexity through all phases of execution, including planning, staffing, technical delivery, client communication, and financial management.

You will coordinate project resources, develop staff, support business development efforts, and ensure projects meet quality, schedule, budget, and safety expectations while demonstrating ECS Core Values and growing leadership in the

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience.
• Bachelor's and/or Master's of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Natural or Environmental Science, Geology, or related field.
• A Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) is preferred; additional licensure may be required depending on work.
• Strong knowledge of environmental principles, regulations, permitting, and test methods.
• Strong project management and consulting skills; excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects and build client relationships.
• Ability to mentor and develop technical staff; lift/move field equipment (~40 lbs).
• Valid driver's license required for field operations.

Responsibilities

• Directs project setup and field implementation activities.
• Oversees groundwater, soil, and media investigations; reviews field reports.
• Mentors junior staff and supports team development.
• Prepares reports, change orders, and project deliverables.
• Manages project budgets, schedules, and client communications.
• Directs drill crews, subcontractors, and field personnel; coordinates field logistics.
• Ensures safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across projects.
• Develops proposals, scopes of work, and business development activities.
• Maintains client relationships and leads project discussions with stakeholders.
