Job summary

Atlas is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to lead complex petroleum-related projects across Illinois, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, including IEPA, OSFM, and UST rules. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, contractor performance, and stakeholder communications for projects at active and former retail petroleum facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, Biology, Hydrology, Environmental Science, Earth Science, or related field.
• Working knowledge of Illinois EPA LUST regulations.
• Adhere to Atlas and site-specific safety standards.
• Ability to manage, prepare, and review technical reports.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including spreadsheets.
• Strong analytical and technical skills.
• Technical knowledge of Illinois LUST regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce technical reports for the Petroleum/EM service line.
• Manage Petroleum and other environmental projects, including Illinois-based projects.
• Support 7‑Eleven, Speedway, and Marathon projects and client needs.
• Perform technical reviews and ensure quality and accuracy of project deliverables.
• Manage and oversee field staff activities and performance.
• Coordinate and prioritize day‑to‑day project tasks and workload.
• Collaborate with project teams to support successful project execution.
• Abide by Atlas’s Health and Safety policies and procedures.
