Job summary

Atlas is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to lead petroleum-related projects across Illinois, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, including Illinois EPA LUST. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, contractor performance, and stakeholder communications for projects at active and former retail facilities.

You will prepare technical reports, supervise field staff, and uphold Atlas safety standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Geology, Biology, Hydrology, Environmental Science, Earth Science, or related field.
Working knowledge of Illinois EPA LUST regulations.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including spreadsheets.
Able to manage, prepare, and review technical reports.
Strong analytical and technical skills.

Responsibilities

Produce technical reports for the Petroleum/EM service line.
Manage Petroleum and other environmental projects, including Illinois-based projects.
Support 7‑Eleven, Speedway, and Marathon projects and client needs.
Perform technical reviews and ensure quality and accuracy of project deliverables.
Manage and oversee field staff activities and performance.
Coordinate and prioritize day‑to‑day project tasks and workload.
Collaborate with project teams to support successful project execution.
Abide by Atlas’s Health and Safety policies and procedures.
