Job summary

Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) seeks an Environmental Staff Project Manager I to support environmental consulting projects through field work, analysis, reporting, and coordination. This role develops ownership of tasks, client relationships, budgets, and schedules under guidance from senior staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating field and office activities, assisting with proposals and cost estimates, and preparing environmental reports with senior input.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Natural/Environmental Science, Geology, or related field.
• 2–3 years of environmental experience required.
• A professional license is not required but can help career progression.
• If driving for ECS, a valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams on environmental consulting projects.
• Attend meetings and assist with technical and administrative issue resolution.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and project stakeholders.
• Assist with project budgets and change orders.
• Prepare invoices and support collections.
• Supervise technicians and support staff; coordinate field and office activities.
• Assist with proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates.
• Prepare environmental reports and develop recommendations with senior staff.
• Support fieldwork including groundwater, soil, and media sampling.
