Job summary

Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) is seeking an Environmental Staff Project Manager to support environmental projects through field work, analysis, reporting, and coordination. This role develops ownership of project tasks, client relationships, budgets, and schedules under the guidance of senior staff.

You will lead field activities, supervise crews, prepare technical reports, and communicate site conditions impacting budgets or approaches while collaborating with project teams and clients

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Natural or Environmental Science, Geology, or related field.
• 3+ years of related experience
• A professional license is not required but progress may benefit your career
• A valid driver’s license is required if driving ECS work

Responsibilities

• Initiates project setup with limited supervision
• Performs groundwater, soil, and media sampling
• Supervises drill crews and supports investigation activities
• Documents site observations and prepares field reports
• Identifies changing site conditions and recommends investigation adjustments
• Assists with remediation system installation, operation, and maintenance
• Supports underground storage tank assessments
• Communicates site conditions impacting budgets, scope, or approaches
• Collaborates with project teams on environmental projects
• Attends project meetings and assists with issue resolution
• Develops client relationships through project interactions
• Maintains regular communication with clients and stakeholders
• Assists with project budget management and change order tracking
• Prepares invoices and supports collections
• Schedules and oversees environmental technicians
• Prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines
• Develops project management skills
• Assists with proposals and cost estimates
• Prepares environmental reports and technical analyses
• Coordinates field and office activities for project execution
• Supports project setup, implementation, and closeout
• Performs additional project management duties as assigned
