Job summary

ECS Group of Companies seeks an Environmental Staff Project Manager to join our environmental consulting team in the Chantilly, VA area. You will support project execution through field work, technical analysis, reporting, and coordination under senior staff guidance.

Responsibilities include coordinating field teams, maintaining client relationships, tracking budgets and schedules, and preparing environmental reports and cost estimates in line with ECS Core Values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in a relevant environmental field.
• 0 years of related experience.
• A professional license is not required, but may help progression.
• If driving for ECS, a valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and indoor air quality assessments.
• Performs air and bulk media sampling.
• Monitors remediation and abatement activities.
• Documents field observations and prepares project documentation.
• Evaluates changing site conditions and recommends investigation modifications.
• Applies environmental regulations and sampling requirements to field activities.
• Collaborates with project teams on environmental consulting projects.
• Attends meetings and assists with technical/administrative issue resolution.
• Develops relationships with existing and prospective clients through project interactions.
• Maintains regular communication with clients and project stakeholders.
• Assists with project budget management and change order tracking.
• Prepares invoices and supports collection activities.
• Schedules, trains, and oversees environmental technicians and staff.
• Prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines and develops PM skills.
