Job summary

ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC in Chantilly, VA seeks an Environmental Staff Project Manager to support environmental consulting projects through field work, analysis, reporting, and coordination. You will begin owning project tasks under guidance from senior staff while developing client relationships and budgets.

Responsibilities include performing asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and indoor air quality assessments; collecting air and bulk media samples; monitoring remediation; preparing field notes

Qualifications

• Knowledge of environmental principles, regulations, and applications.
• Understanding of permitting requirements and environmental test methods.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Developing project management and consulting skills.
• Ability to work with clients, peers, subcontractors, and field staff.
• Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
• Knowledge of sampling methods and environmental field procedures.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lift and carry field equipment (~40 lbs).
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and follow local/state laws and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Performs asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and indoor air quality assessments.
• Performs air and bulk media sampling.
• Monitors remediation and abatement activities.
• Documents field observations and prepares project documentation.
• Evaluates site conditions and recommends investigation modifications.
• Applies environmental regulations to field activities.
• Collaborates with project teams on various environmental projects.
• Attends meetings and assists with technical/administrative issue resolution.
• Develops relationships with existing and prospective clients via project interactions.
• Maintains regular communication with clients and project stakeholders.
• Assists with project budget management and change orders.
• Prepares invoices and supports collections.
• Schedules, trains, and oversees environmental technicians and staff.
