VHB is seeking a Project Manager/Project Scientist with 3+ years of environmental consulting experience to support our Site Investigation & Remediation practice in Hauppauge, NY. You will perform and manage environmental investigations and remediation projects, work with clients and regulatory agencies, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional environmental consulting, site investigation, or remediation experience.
• Experience with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
• Familiarity with New York State environmental regulations and programs.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and annual refresher.
• Prior project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to determine requirements, develop plans, cost estimates, and project documents.
• Plan and perform environmental site investigations, assessments, and remediation field programs.
• Manage Phase I/II ESAs and related investigations.
• Oversee field activities including soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling.
• Interpret data and communicate findings to teams and clients.
• Prepare technical reports, work plans, and other deliverables.
• Develop investigation and remediation scopes, budgets, schedules, and plans.
• Support remedial option evaluations and site-management strategies.
