Job summary

VHB seeks a Senior Environmental Project Manager / Licensed Site Remediation Professional to lead NJ-based site investigation and remediation projects from office and field oversight. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, client relationships, and mentorship within a growing SI&R practice.

Based in Manasquan, Newark, or Princeton, this Senior PM will manage complex projects, coordinate teams, review technical reports, and stay current with NJDEP requirements while contributing to business

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret environmental data and develop remediation strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for reports, client updates, and regulatory interactions.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
• Leadership skills with mentoring junior staff and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in NJDEP regulations, site remediation programs, and environmental due diligence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage, and lead NJ environmental site investigation and remediation projects.
• Act as Senior PM and LSRP for NJDEP regulatory cases.
• Develop creative, cost-effective, regulatory-compliant solutions for contaminated sites.
• Oversee site investigations, soil management, remedial actions, and reporting.
• Provide mentorship and management of junior staff and project teams.
• Develop proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates; support business development.
