Job summary

Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. (VHB) is seeking a Project Manager/Project Scientist with 3+ years of environmental consulting experience to support our Site Investigation & Remediation practice in Hauppauge, NY.

You will manage investigations, coordinate with clients and regulators, and contribute to a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include planning field programs, leading Phase I/II ESAs, guiding data interpretation, and producing reports, work plans, and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology or related field required.
• 3+ years of professional environmental consulting experience.
• Experience with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and investigations.
• Familiarity with New York environmental regulations; OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to determine requirements and develop plans, cost estimates, reports and bid packages.
• Plan and perform environmental site investigations, assessments, and remediation field programs.
• Lead Phase I/II ESAs and related investigations and supervise field activities.
• Interpret field/lab data and communicate findings to project teams and clients.
• Prepare technical reports, work plans, and project deliverables; support scope/cost/schedule development.
