Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Geologist or Environmental Scientist to join our Environmental Services team in Seattle, Bellevue, or Lynnwood, WA. The role supports environmental assessment, investigation, and remediation across the Pacific Northwest with 3–7 years of experience in contaminated site work.

The position blends field and office duties, opportunities for project coordination, client interaction, and multidisciplinary collaboration with geologists, engineers, and scientists.

Qualifications

• Commitment to health, safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication for diverse audiences.
• Experience collecting, managing, and interpreting environmental data and preparing technical reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to perform field work in various weather conditions and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
• Pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities with clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Plan and oversee field activities including equipment mobilization.
• Log soil samples and prepare detailed soil boring logs.
• Oversee groundwater monitoring and well installations.
• Perform environmental sampling of soil, water, vapor, and indoor air.
• Coordinate drilling contractors and other field subcontractors.
• Oversee remedial construction and treatment system work.
• Prepare health and safety, work plans, and QA plans.
