Job summary

The City of Arcadia seeks an innovative Environmental Services Manager to lead environmental programs within the Public Works Services Department. You will oversee compliance with emerging laws and develop programs for water, wastewater, stormwater, refuse and recycling, guiding staff and external consultants.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and the ability to translate regulations into actionable citywide programs, with a focus on sustainability and community health.

Qualifications

• Four years of increasingly responsible environmental related administrative experience.
• Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public administration, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Review practices and procedures for compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations for water, wastewater, stormwater, refuse and environmental programs.
• Maintain records and prepare reports for local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate environmental management programs and advice the Director on environmental issues and budget.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness activities for environmental-related services.
• Prepare data for annual reports, rate studies, and environmental program statistics.
• Develop work methods and standards and supervise consultants on project work.
