Job summary

Colonial Pipeline Company seeks a Manager, Environmental Programs to lead governance programs and ensure compliance across air, water, waste, and remediation. You will guide a small corporate team and partner with the Senior Manager to refresh policies and procedures in a dynamic regulatory landscape.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering/Geology/Environmental Sciences, 15+ years in environmental programs (including 10+ in oil & gas), and 5+ years of supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Sciences, or another Natural Science related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in air permitting, environmental compliance, consulting, and/or environmental program work.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
• At least 5 years of supervisory or people leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.
• Advanced understanding of CFR 40 and state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, refresh, and continuous improvement of environmental governance programs, policies, and procedures.
• Assess the applicability of federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations to Colonial Pipeline Company.
• Manage environmental compliance priorities across multiple stakeholders, disciplines, and program areas.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for air permitting, water, and general environmental program-related compliance matters.
• Employ change management, root cause analysis, and regulator negotiation to deploy effective programs.
• Lead, coach, and support a small team while partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
• Apply project and financial management to support program execution.
• Represent Colonial in discussions with professional organizations on permitting and environmental issues.
• Use EMS, data management tools, spreadsheets, risk assessment, and statistics to improve outcomes.
• Communicate status, risks, and decisions clearly up to Board/Exec levels.
