Job summary

Doral Renewables LLC is seeking an Environmental Permitting Associate to advance a national renewable energy portfolio through environmental due diligence, permitting, and compliance. This role reports to the Vice President of Environmental Permitting and coordinates with Development, Engineering, Construction, Legal, and agencies to identify risks and support project execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Biology, Ecology, Natural Resources, Environmental Planning, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in environmental permitting, consulting, renewable energy, infrastructure development, or related field.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local environmental permitting processes.
  • Experience with environmental reviews, permit applications, or due diligence preferred.
  • Renewable energy or infrastructure development experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to review and synthesize regulatory information.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams, consultants, regulatory agencies, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel periodically to project sites and meetings.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Generate Critical Issues Analyses to identify environmental risks and permitting considerations.
  • Summarize findings for internal Development teams to aid screening and risk management.
  • Prepare requests for proposals for environmental consultants performing due diligence and permitting.
  • Review consultant reports for completeness, quality, regulatory relevance.
  • Coordinate with Development teams to manage environmental compliance across the project lifecycle.
  • Support environmental permitting and due diligence across federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
  • Prepare environmental training materials for staff on permitting requirements and compliance.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, permitting records, and tracking tools.
