TotalEnergies is seeking an Environmental Associate contractor to support environmental compliance, permit planning, and ESIA-related activities across onshore renewables projects in North America. The role collaborates with the Director of Environmental Permitting and cross-functional teams to advance project milestones while ensuring regulatory conformity during the construction phase.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Natural Resources, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in environmental management for renewable energy or large infrastructure projects.
  • Experience leading Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) and environmental inspections.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, schedules, and scopes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead construction-site environmental compliance audits and ESIA-based assessments across multiple projects.
  • Coordinate consultants, RFPs, scope, scheduling and site access for permits (SPCC, SWPPP, MBTA, Section 404, NEPA permitting, protected species).
  • Serve as primary point of contact for environmental questions from stakeholders.
  • Track progress via Salesforce and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
