Job summary

TotalEnergies is seeking an Environmental Associate to support onshore renewables projects in North America, focusing on environmental compliance, impact assessments, permitting, and sustainability during the construction phase. The role works with the Director of Environmental Permitting to ensure regulatory compliance and project success.

The position involves audits, ESIA-based assessments, and coordination of consultants for permit commitments (SPCC, SWPPP, NEPA).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Natural Resources, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in renewable energy or large infrastructure construction projects.
• Experience leading environmental inspections and developing Environmental Management Plans (EMPs).

Responsibilities

• Maintain environmental inspections, spills, cleanups, permit violations and non-compliance records.
• Review project layouts for environmental risks and compliance with requirements.
• Track site restoration to regulatory and contractual standards.
