Job summary

Ross Environmental Services, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Permitting & Compliance Specialist to lead regulatory analysis and program management at our Elyria, OH facility.

The role requires extensive knowledge of environmental regulations, strong communication skills, and 5+ years of hands-on experience in the environmental services industry. On-site work with some field duties is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, environmental or related field required.
• Five or more years' experience in environmental services industry.
• Working knowledge of environmental regulations (RCRA, OSHA, CWA, CAA).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office with ability to prepare comprehensive reports.
• Willingness to work extra hours and outdoors as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level regulatory expertise on permitting and compliance.
• Develop and implement cross-functional EHS programs.
• Coordinate with external consultants, regulatory agencies and customers.
• Act as liaison, trainer, and regulatory consultant for multiple teams.
• Monitor and audit safety, health and environmental programs.
• Prepare written responses to regulatory agencies.
• Support EMS objectives and regulatory interpretations.
