Job summary

Socket.dev seeks an experienced EHS Regulatory Specialist to lead environmental, health and safety programs at our Elyria, Ohio facility. You will evaluate regulatory implications, train staff, and coordinate with external consultants and agencies to ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in environmental services, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, environmental or related field is required.
• Five (5) or more years’ hands-on experience in environmental services or related regulatory field is required.
• Working knowledge of environmental regulations (RCRA, OSHA, CWA, CAA, etc.) is required.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and recommend actions.
• Excellent communication, organization, interpersonal and presentation skills; ability to communicate with associates, vendors, customers or regulatory officials.

Responsibilities

• Provides high level regulatory expertise by evaluating regulatory, permitting, or environmental implications of proposed actions.
• Develops, maintains and implements programs and project plans for EHS regulatory programs.
• Manages/coordinates outside consultants, regulatory agencies, and customers to achieve project goals.
• Acts as liaison, trainer, and regulatory consultant to internal departments and new ventures.
• Manages/tracks/audits safety, health, and environmental programs.
