Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking an experienced Section Manager Environmental to lead the environmental department at United Taconite in Forbes, MN. The role oversees environmental staff and ensures compliance with environmental permits and obligations, with responsibility for reporting and permitting at the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or environmental discipline.
• Familiarity with operation and compliance related to industrial air emission control and water treatment systems.
• Expertise in analyzing and interpreting the environmental regulations' impact on facilities.
• Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee environmental permit applications and ensure consistency across sites.
• Assist in air emission modeling and permitting strategies.
• Assist with NPDES/State disposal system permitting strategies.
• Evaluate projects for permitting implications and regulatory review obligations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and stakeholders.
• Manage the site environmental budget and team development.
