Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. seeks a seasoned Program Manager Environmental Permitting & Regulatory to lead permitting and regulatory initiatives for mining and pelletizing operations in Northern Minnesota and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

The role reports to the Environmental Director and collaborates with site managers, regulators, and trade associations to develop permitting strategies, assess NEPA/MEPA requirements, and ensure compliant environmental performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or environmental discipline is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional environmental experience, including permitting and reporting.
• Experience with Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act (Sections 401, 402, 404) and state regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee environmental permit applications and ensure consistency across sites.
• Monitor evolving environmental regulations and advise on regulatory impacts.
• Coordinate with site environmental managers and engage with regulators and trade associations.
