Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer for Forbes, MN, to support mechanical engineering activities across plant facilities, maintenance and improvements. You will lead projects from concept through start-up and provide technical guidance to maintenance teams at the United Taconite Forbes processing plant.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 3–5 years in heavy industry, and experience with AutoCAD/SolidWorks. Relocation assistance may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Proficiency in drafting/design tools like AutoCAD or SolidWorks preferred.
• 3–5 years of engineering experience in heavy industry or mining/mineral processing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and prioritizes projects with strategic goals.
• Conducts investigations of equipment, materials and processes with evaluations and recommendations.
• Manages all aspects of engineering projects from cost estimates and design to installation and start-up.
