SMG is seeking a local environmental advisor in Huntsville, AL to coordinate environmental compliance programs for construction activities. You will ensure adherence to NPDES, RCRA, Stormwater, Air permits, and SPCC requirements, while developing permits, plans, documentation, and records for project scopes.

The role requires 7 years of environmental experience and a degree in Environmental Studies, Geology, or a related field.

Qualifications

• 7 years of environmental experience
• Previous work on construction projects performing environmental services
• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Environmental Studies, Geology, or similar
• Knowledge of environmental studies and regulatory compliance
• Ability to plan, organize, and problem-solve
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsabilités

• Provide environmental compliance oversight for construction activities.
• Support compliance with NPDES, RCRA, Stormwater, Air Permits, and SPCC requirements.
• Develop and manage environmental plans, permits, documentation, and records.
• Conduct site inspections and compliance assessments to identify environmental risks.
• Partner with contractors to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and permit requirements.
• Lead environmental incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Deliver environmental training, guidance, and coaching to project teams and contractors.
• Support regulatory audits, agency interactions, and project-specific environmental programs.
