Job summary

The Maschhoffs in Carlyle, IL is seeking an Environmental Operations Technician to support nutrient management, regulatory compliance, and equipment operations across Midwest locations. The role requires knowledge of ARCMAP GIS and farm equipment, with travel to remote sites as needed.

You will inspect facilities, calibrate application rates, maintain records, and participate in safety programs. Strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently and in a team, and comfortable lifting

Qualifications

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for nutrient management and application rate calculations.
• Ability to develop comprehensive nutrient management plans and follow safety policies.
• Willingness to travel overnight seasonally to Midwest locations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and calibrate application equipment and perform field sampling.
• Develop GIS maps using ARCMAP and maintain accurate records.
• Inspect facilities for regulatory compliance and participate in safety programs.
• Work independently or with a team to support environmental objectives.
• Lift up to 75 lbs and operate heavy equipment for extended periods.
• Communicate effectively and bend, kneel, or stand as required.
