Job summary

The Maschhoffs is seeking an Environmental Crew Lead to coach Environmental Operations Technicians, operate manure application equipment, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across our farming operations in Illinois. You will collaborate with farm managers to maintain equipment and drive continuous improvement in environmental practices.

The role requires hands-on leadership, 2+ years in agriculture or related field, and experience with dragline/pivot irrigation systems.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
Major(s): Agriculture, Environmental or related field.
2 years in agriculture or related field; 1 year operating environmental equipment incl. dragline & pivot irrigation.
License or Certification: CDL and welding certification preferred or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

Assist Environmental leadership with day-to-day coaching and training of Environmental Operations Technicians.
Operate and maintain manure application equipment across the geography; maintain records and calibrate equipment.
Ensure safety and environment policies are followed by all technicians.
Ensure compliance with state/local standards and company safety policies.
Provide irrigation help, operation, and evaluate future pumping equipment needs.
Collaborate with farm managers to ensure seamless operations.
Assist with maintenance programs and Emergency Response/EHS programs.
Diagnose electrical/equipment issues and support pivot operations.
Mowing, weed control, and equipment operation for row crops.
