Job summary

WM is seeking a site coordinator to manage onsite activities related to waste storage, transport, and disposal, ensuring regulatory compliance and safety at the client site. You will oversee onsite personnel, liaise with vendors, and monitor safety standards.

The role requires forklift certification, a valid driver’s license, and experience in supervising hourly staff. You will ensure proper training and adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, with the ability to handle shift

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or higher required in a related field.
• High School Diploma or GED with relevant experience accepted.
• 2 years of related work experience beyond education requirement.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Valid driver's license required.
• HAZWOPER is preferred if project involves hazardous waste management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics for transportation of waste from client site including scheduling, manifesting, tracking and loading materials.
• Responsible for safe sorting and baling of materials.
• Manage hourly personnel including hiring, performance reviews and disciplinary action.
• Coordinate shift assignments to ensure adequate coverage.
• Maintain and exceed customer expectations.
• Operate site equipment (forklifts, baler, etc.).
• Promote a safety culture with trained site personnel and compliance with regulations.

I. Job Summary

Coordinates all onsite activities at client location in relation to the storage, transportation and disposal of waste and other related services following federal, state and local regulations. Manages and plans activities of onsite personnel. Serves as liaison between client and vendors in relation to service issues. Maintains pre-established standards for safety and environmental issues.

• Manage hourly personnel including but not limited to hiring, performance reviews and disciplinary action.
• Coordinate shift assignments to ensure adequate coverage

• Required to operate site specific equipment (forklifts, baler, etc.).
• Promote culture of safety by ensuring site personnel are properly trained to perform assigned duties and comply with safety, environmental, federal, state and local regulations.

Hours 1:30pm - 10:30pm

III. Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (accredited) in Environmental Sciences, Accounting, Business or related field
• High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and two years of relevant experience
• 2 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement)
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment

• Preferred Qualifications
• Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER) will be required if project site responsibilities includes the management of hazardous waste
