Job summary

Pace Analytical Services, LLC is seeking a Scientist I in Kentucky to join our environmental testing laboratory. You will perform hands-on analysis, ensuring the integrity of environmental data that impacts communities and ecosystems, with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related STEM field and the ability to work in a lab environment, including standing for long periods and using PPE. Compensation is hourly and includes full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other STEM fields is required or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods and using PPE is expected.

Responsibilities

• Work with instruments such as GC, HPLC, ICP and more.
• Analyze air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods looking for environmental contaminants.
• Review and interpret the results from the sample analysis.
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality, organized laboratory records.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
