Pace Analytical Services is seeking a Scientist 1 for our Lombard, IL laboratory. This full-time, onsite role operates Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with compensation of $20.00 per hour.

You will conduct hands-on analysis of environmental samples and ensure data integrity across the testing workflow. You’ll work with GC, HPLC, ICP and related methods, documenting procedures and results, and maintaining equipment.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other science related degrees; training provided.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods, PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves) provided by Pace®.

Mansioni

• Work with instruments such as GC, HPLC, ICP and more
• Analyze air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods looking for environmental contaminants
• Review and interpret the results from the sample analysis
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality, organized laboratory records
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment
