Job summary

Pace Analytical Services is seeking a Scientist to join our environmental testing laboratory. You will perform hands-on analysis using GC, HPLC, and ICP to measure contaminants in environmental samples and ensure data integrity that informs public health decisions.

The role emphasizes careful data documentation, instrument calibration, and adherence to safety protocols in a full-time, on-site setting. Training is available for relevant procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related STEM field is required or equivalent training.
• Ability to work effectively in a lab setting, including standing for long periods and using PPE.
• Experience operating GC, HPLC, ICP and recording accurate data.

Responsibilities

• Operate instruments (GC, HPLC, ICP) and analyze air, water, and soil samples.
• Document procedures, observations, and results clearly and accurately.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Review results and ensure data quality for environmental testing.
