Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing USA is seeking an Associate Scientist to prepare and analyze environmental samples using standard analytical techniques and SOPs. The role may require standing for long periods and handling organic solvents, glassware, and specialized equipment.

The position is 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM). Responsibilities include sample prep, chemical analysis, data evaluation, data reporting, and routine instrument maintenance while adhering to QA and EH&S standards.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in Biology, Environmental Science, Chemistry or related field, Associate Degree, or 2 years of related laboratory experience in lieu of degree.
• Proficiency with computers.
• Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and analyzes environmental samples using approved methods and SOPs.
• Performs routine lab tasks to gain experience with methods and programs.
• Performs sample preparation and chemical analysis.
• Evaluates and quantifies data; reports unusual test occurrences to supervisor.
• Maintains instruments and keeps training records current and accurate.
• Complies with Eurofins health, safety, and quality standards and supports lab housekeeping.
