Job summary

JLG, an Oshkosh company, is seeking an Environmental Intern to support the Environmental team with initiatives focused on environmental compliance, waste reduction, process improvement, and overall operational efficiency in a manufacturing setting.

You will gain hands-on experience on projects involving waste management, sampling, inspections, audits, and continuous improvement activities while collaborating with environmental and safety professionals.

Qualifications

• Sophomore standing or higher pursuing a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Must be able to communicate with multiple management levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the direct activities of environmental & safety teams.
• Work with the environmental department to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
• Utilize value stream mapping to analyze and improve material flow and eliminate waste.
• Work with waste, sampling, paint logs, and water meters.
• Assist with audits and inspections.
