Job summary

JLG, an Oshkosh company in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania, is seeking an Environmental Intern to support the Environmental team on initiatives focused on compliance, waste reduction, process improvement, and operational efficiency.

You will gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting, collaborating with environmental and safety professionals on projects involving waste management, sampling, inspections, audits, and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Sophomore standing or higher pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.

Responsibilities

• Assist the environmental & safety teams in direct activities.
• Help reduce costs and improve efficiency in the department.
• Use value stream mapping to analyze and improve material flow and waste elimination.
• Work with waste, sampling, paint logs, and water meters.
• Assist with audits and inspections.
