Job summary

JLG Industries, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to assist the Manufacturing Engineering team with projects improving safety, quality, productivity, and processes on the shop floor and in design support. You will work closely with engineers and production teams on layouts, tooling, and new product launches.

The role combines office duties with hands-on manufacturing tasks, learning ERP systems, and contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Student working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical or other related Engineering field.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

Responsibilities

• Audit and update work instructions, routings and bills of materials.
• Improve material handling methods.
• Perform time studies.
• Develop methods in fabrication and machining processes.
• Perform workstation/cell analyses to improve productivity and quality.
• Provide technical support to the production personnel.
• Provide input for manufacturing fixtures and tooling.
• Assist with plant layout and workstation design.
• Learn and use ERP manufacturing software.
• Create documentation for new product launches.
