Job summary

The Falkirk Mining Company in Underwood, ND, seeks an Environmental Science/Wildlife/Biology intern for 2027. The program runs May–August (3 months) or May–December (8 months) and targets students who have completed part of their degree.

Knowledge of plant and wildlife ID and MS Office are preferred, with AutoCAD as a plus. Responsibilities include vegetation assessment, wildlife monitoring, water monitoring, data reporting, and map production with AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited college program in environmental science, wildlife, biology, or related field.
• Completion of part of the degree with intent to finish the program.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Vegetation assessment and mapping on reclaimed wetlands and shelterbelts.
• Wildlife monitoring on pre-mine and post-mine areas.
• Ground/surface water monitoring and data recording.
