Job summary

Lowell General Hospital, part of Tufts Medicine, is seeking an Environmental Services Supervisor to manage daily operations of Environmental and Hospitality Services in Lowell, MA. You will ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance while directing a team of staff.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least three years of related experience; bilingual candidates are preferred. Evening shift 3pm-11:30pm with every other weekend and holiday.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of Environmental Services and Hospitality Services staff.
• Oversee staff performance and workflow.
• Prepare master work and time schedules; coordinate time off.
• Perform quality control to meet hospital and regulatory standards.
• Conduct staff performance evaluations and goal setting.
• Handle interview, hiring, onboarding, and training of new hires.
• Counsel, mentor, and discipline employees as needed.
• Recommend promotions or terminations when identified.
• Suggest process improvements to leadership and empower staff to implement changes.
• Contribute to policy writing, reviewing and updating procedures.
• Oversee inventories, supplies usage, and ordering of materials and repairs.
