Job summary

Tufts Medicine - Lowell General Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Worker to support housekeeping, facility maintenance, and floor care. You will help ensure a clean, safe environment, supervise departmental tasks in the supervisor's absence, and coordinate daily activities across frontline staff.

The role requires one year of related experience and offers 40 hours weekly with a 3pm–11:30pm shift.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of related experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Bilingual.

Responsibilities

• Completes weekly projects as designated by the supervisor and coordinates shift work.
• Makes sure employees are properly equipped and supplied.
• Follows infection control, chemical control, and hazardous waste procedures.
• Follows safe work practices and body mechanics.
• Performs shift check-in and rounds through the facility.
• Operates heavy duty cleaning equipment such as wet vacuums and floor machines.
• Maintains inventory for laundry services and informs manager when supplies are needed.
• Coordinates furniture moves and room setups for events.
• Conducts safety inspections and enforces corrective actions as needed.
