Lowell General Hospital is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services supervisor to oversee housekeeping operations and assist in daily department tasks. The role emphasizes ensuring a clean, safe environment and coordinating floor care, bed tracking, and inter-department relations.

The position requires at least one year of related experience; a high school diploma is preferred, with three years in a hospital setting as a strong plus.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of related experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Bilingual.

Responsibilities

• Performs and coordinates daily housekeeping tasks and assists in supervision in the absence of the supervisor.
• Ensures a clean, safe environment and coordinates department daily tasks among frontline staff.
• Conducts room inspections and coordinates scheduled floor care and shift lineup coverage.
• Manages inventory, supplies, and equipment; reports any problems to supervisor.
• Follows infection control, chemical handling, and safety procedures.
• Coordinates small furniture moves and room setups as needed.
• Conducts monthly safety inspections and safety committee meetings.
• Maintains professionalism and composure during difficult situations.
