Penn State Health Milton Hershey Medical Center is seeking an Environmental Health Worker - Housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. This is a full-time role with evening hours from 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM and a $2.00/hour evening shift differential.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges and restrooms in accordance with Environmental Services procedures while upholding infection control standards and compassionate

• Provide a clean, safe and friendly environment by performing housekeeping in patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, clinic areas and other areas as assigned in accordance with Environmental Services procedures.
• Perform cleaning tasks in patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, clinics and other areas per standard procedures.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards while supporting patient care and a positive hospital environment.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Provides a clean, safe and friendly environment for patients, visitors, and associates by providing housekeeping services. Responsible for cleaning tasks in patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, clinic areas, and any other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S)

• Any combination of education and experience that would demonstrate the capability to perform the duties of the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S)

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
