What You’ll Do

The Environmental, Health, & Safety Manager reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for leading and managing the environmental, health, and safety processes.

This role is ideal for a self-starter and leader, serving as a vital member of the Safety Team. It offers an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement actions to foster a strong safety culture through employee engagement and support.
• Coach and guide facility leaders and safety representatives on safety initiatives, providing practical solutions to achieve safety excellence.
• Contribute to strategic safety processes, tools, and techniques to improve safety performance.
• Design and deliver training on machine safeguarding, risk assessment, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, hazardous energy control, and injury management.
• Collaborate with management to promote safety and continuous improvement.
• Build and support effective teams across various safety and environmental areas, ensuring they have the guidance and resources needed to succeed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, environment, or a related field, or relevant work experience.
• At least 8 years of safety experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (e.g., steel, petrochemical, automotive, aviation, pulp & paper, material processing).
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification is a strong plus.
• Ability to interpret and apply OSHA, EPA, and other governmental safety and environmental regulations.
