Job summary

Talbot County Health Department is seeking a full-time Environmental Health Specialist Program Supervisor to supervise and promote environmental health programs while enforcing Maryland laws. The role involves monitoring delegated programs and leading skilled staff to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, conducting performance evaluations, and coordinating programs such as Well, Land Development, On-Site Sewage Disposal, Building Permits, and Open Burning.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Environmental Health Specialist (Maryland)
• Three years of inspections/investigations experience with one year in a supervisory role
• Note: MPH or MS may substitute one year of required experience

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce state and local environmental health laws.
• Lead and supervise EH staff; develop SOPs and evaluate performance.
• Coordinate delegated programs (Well, Land Development, On-Site Sewage, Building Permits, Open Burning)
