Job summary

State of Maryland is seeking a full-time Environmental Health Specialist Program Supervisor to promote Environmental Health and enforce state and local laws. The role supervises staff, oversees delegated programs, and ensures compliance across multiple environmental health areas in Talbot County.

Qualifications include a Registered Environmental Health Specialist license, three years of inspection experience with at least one year in supervision.

Qualifications

• Three years of inspections and investigations experience to ensure compliance with environmental health laws and regulations.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• Master's degree (M.P.H. or M.S.) may substitute one year of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in promoting all aspects of Environmental Health and enforce applicable laws and regulations.
• Monitor delegated programs from the Maryland Department of Health to the Talbot County Health Department's Office of Environmental Health.
• Supervise staff, manage workload, and engage with programs such as Well Program, Land Development, and On-Site Sewage Disposal Systems.
• Maintain compliance with licensing and regulatory standards for Environmental Health Specialists.
