Job Overview

The Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager will oversee administrative tasks related to the EH&S programs at the Richmond, CA Fulfillment Facility. Responsibilities include maintaining a proactive safety culture, developing safety reports, enforcing safety measures, conducting audits, and ensuring proper training and documentation. The role requires professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive, flexible approach.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage safety-related functions including claims, data integrity, and documentation
• Handle Worker’s Compensation activities
• Oversee site security operations
• Provide EH&S training on policies, regulations, and procedures
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations through inspections and audits
• Conduct safety meetings and follow-up assessments
• Maintain accurate safety records
• Analyze incident reports and injury data to improve safety
• Create, maintain, and train on safety best practices

Qualifications

Skills and Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in Risk Management, Health and Safety, or Site Security in a medium to large employer; relevant certifications or education are a plus
• Proficiency in software, spreadsheets, reports, and managing priorities
• Experience preparing agendas, SOPs, SSOPs, and meeting minutes
• Computer proficiency and excellent organizational skills
• Extensive knowledge of workplace safety regulations and Workers’ Compensation procedures, especially in food manufacturing

Experience / Education

• Experience in start-up manufacturing, service industry, or chilled environments preferred
