Role Overview

As an Environmental Health and Safety Manager, you will foster a safety-focused culture throughout the company. Your work will directly impact the business by implementing risk controls to reduce claims and mitigate risks. Our team values collaboration, innovation, diversity of thought, and challenging the status quo.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement programs to enhance EHS protocols at assigned locations, including behavioral safety and regulatory compliance, to lower costs and improve performance.
  2. Advise local leadership on improving EHS practices and workplace safety culture.
  3. Coordinate with leadership on EHS-related capital projects, including business case development.
  4. Develop ergonomic protocols and oversee EHS training for employees.
  5. Conduct regular EHS meetings and oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  6. Maintain records in designated electronic systems and ensure timely sharing of safety alerts.
  7. Establish and train personnel for safety self-audit programs, track safety orders, and analyze claims data for accident prevention.
  8. Interpret EHS regulations and stay updated on changes affecting operations.
  9. Collaborate across teams to identify, analyze, and reduce claims and risks.
  10. Participate in risk management meetings to ensure progress on initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years of combined education and hands-on experience in EHS.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or consumer products EHS.
  • Experience with regulatory inspections, hazardous waste management, risk plans, and permits.
  • Expertise in ergonomics, fire protection, and industrial hygiene.
  • CSP or similar professional designation is a plus.
