Position Summary:

The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager leads employee health, safety, and environmental activities, working closely with management and other functions. This role partners with facility management to build capability and provide EHS expertise for manufacturing and distribution facilities. The EHS Manager supports wastewater operations, hazardous materials management, and compliance tracking as needed.

Responsibilities:
  1. Implement programs to reduce workplace injuries and ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
  2. Evaluate and certify the effectiveness of EHS programs through inspections and audits.
  3. Provide guidance to ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
  4. Identify improvement opportunities and share best practices.
  5. Manage compliance programs related to ergonomics, asbestos, ammonia, wastewater, stormwater, etc.
  6. Ensure resource conservation and compliance with RCRA, OSHA, DOT regulations in collaboration with facility and fleet teams.
  7. Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans.
  8. Assist with facility gap assessments and corrective actions.
  9. Participate in Worker’s Compensation claims reviews.
  10. Analyze EHS data, develop goals, and manage related dashboards and scorecards.
  11. Collaborate with Legal on permits, compliance queries, and regulatory responses.
  12. Prepare for emergencies and establish response teams.
  13. Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees.
  14. Serve on the crisis management team during serious incidents.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
