ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY COORDINATOR - MORROW, GA

We are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator to report to the RDC Manager. This role involves developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive EHS programs at the Beloit and Atlanta distribution centers. You will contribute significantly to our organization's growth and talent acquisition efforts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Conduct risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  2. Design and deliver EHS training programs for employees.
  3. Collaborate on emergency response plans with cross-functional teams.
  4. Monitor workplace conditions and practices for safety and environmental compliance.
  5. Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
  6. Manage relationships with regulatory agencies and ensure proper reporting.
  7. Implement waste management and recycling initiatives.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to improve safety programs.
  9. Promote a safety culture through employee engagement and safety recognition.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety, Occupational Safety, or related field, or at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience as an EHS professional, preferably in distribution or logistics.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental laws.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to initiate and implement projects.
  • Interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel quarterly to other distribution centers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Occupational Health and Safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH).
  • Proficiency with EHS software and data reporting tools.
  • Unique skills or experiences that add value to the team.
