Clean Harbors in East Chicago, IN seeks an Environmental Field Laborer to perform hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, and material transfer duties in field conditions. The role requires the ability to work extended hours, occasional overnight travel, and a two-week out-of-state academy training funded by the company.

Starting pay is $20 per hour, with comprehensive health benefits after 30 days and a 401(k) with company match.

Formación

• Reliable transportation is required.
• Ability to perform physical functions per key responsibilities.
• Position includes emergency response on a rotating basis.
• Background check, drug test and physical are required by position.
• Exposure to hazardous environments with PPE is expected per OSHA guidelines.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure health and safety is the top priority by following policies and acting safely.
• Perform strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and various hand tools.
• Wear and use PPE properly, including respirators and protective gear.
• Work in various temperatures and weather conditions, indoors and outdoors.
• Safely load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste and conduct sampling as needed.
