Job summary

TRC, Member of WSP in New York City seeks Environmental Scientists/Technicians to join the Safety and Industrial Hygiene sector. The role focuses on field sampling, data collection, and instrument operation across multiple sites with training provided by TRC.

Responsibilities include standing for long periods, lifting up to 60 pounds, and travel within NYC metro area. A high school diploma is required; a Bachelor's in Environmental Science or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; Bachelor’s preferred in Environmental Science or related field.
• Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to shift work including nights or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Work at project sites independently or with a team and under supervision.
• Capture field data, information, and photographs to high quality standards.
• Operate and maintain field instruments like air sampling pumps and XRF devices.
• Maintain daily activity logs and transport samples to labs and offices.
• Travel across New York City boroughs and possibly beyond as needed.
