Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental is seeking a Field Technician to join our San Leandro, CA team. Experience is preferred, but we will train the right people.

The role involves hands-on hazardous waste handling, environmental services, and on-site operations for higher-ed, life sciences, healthcare, and manufacturing sectors. The position reports to the Field Services Manager and offers safety training, growth opportunities, and a team-focused culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of hazardous waste field preferred or interest to learn.
• Willingness to learn and self-motivation to grow in the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform confined space entries, soil remediation, chemical decontamination, and tank cleaning/closure.
• Sample collection and separator cleaning, emergency response support.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and follow DOT/EPA/Cal/OSHA regulations.
• Provide safe, high-quality customer service and assist with on-site operations.
• Routinely inspect vehicles pre- and post-trip and support on-call Emergency Response.

Education

High School Diploma

HAZWOPER certification (24- or 40-hour)
