Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is hiring an Environmental Field Operations Technician in the Environmental Services Department/Solid Waste Division. You will assist with the collection, consolidation and storage of Household Hazardous Waste and interact with Fort Worth residents and neighboring communities.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a valid Texas driver’s license. Preferred experience includes hazardous waste consolidation, trailer use, forklift operation and

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate non-hazardous and hazardous waste.
• Transport waste using a pickup and trailer.
• Perform preventive maintenance on consolidation equipment.
• Operate a forklift daily.
• Follow departmental policies and safety practices.
• Input data into an Environmental software program.
• Ensure compliance with regulations.
